Created in 2008, the Festival Latinidades is today considered the largest festival of black women in Latin America, annually involving all Brazilian regions, with growing international participation. A permanent initiative to promote racial and gender equality and a platform for the training and dynamization of black women's sectors in the most diverse fields of activity.
Latinidades is a multilingual festival that seeks to develop dialogues with public authorities, government organizations, social and cultural movements, universities, networks, collectives and other groups. A space for convergence of state and civil society initiatives related to confronting racism, sexism and promoting racial equality.
